Sometimes we as Internet Marketers gets so caught up in what we are doing, we don’t realize how we disrespect our list, nor do we notice the SILLY mistakes we make.
I just sent out an email promotion to my WHOLE list, promoting the new Stomping The Search Engines 2 launch.
This is the email, VERBATIM:

I spent a little time cleaning up the formating before I sent it out, and also took care to add the review link at the bottom.
So, what did I do so wrong?
Well, let me answer that by quoting an email from one of my list members first:
Do you know something, I thought you would make a little more effort than just to copy and paste the sales letter that has gone out to all of the affiliates that are trying to make an affiliate commission.
Especially the part where you are meant to insert your name.
Very dissapointing
DANG!!! I did not notice the YOUR NAME part!
Not only that, I insulted all my subscribers inteligence by using the copy provided by the guys at StomperNet, AS IS!
I was just pure LAZY!
I am not going to send another email to my list appologizing for the mistake, as that would make things even worse.
If any of my subscribers are reading this, I would like to appologize for my arogance and lazines. I was a SMUCK!
Please don’t let my lazines and arogance distract you from the quality of this product though. It REALLY is an AWESOME product!
So, lesson learned!!! DON’T use the copy provided by people I am promoting! Take the time to write the damn copy myself! ALSO re-read the copy at least 5 times, AND get my wife to read it, BEFORE I send it!

You aren’t the first and you definitely won’t be the last to make this mistake. I am not too keen on some of the promo emails I get given to send out but when you have other things to do it’s so easy to just send them out as is. The trouble is when every one else has the same email and does the same thing. Getting the exact same email as many others hardly builds rapport, which is what it’s all about really.
