What’s happening with Imnica in 2009?

Happy New Year 2009

Well, the new year is upon us already! It feels like just a couple of days ago, I was wishing you a happy 2008!

Let me start off then with one of my favorite new years wishes…

May the BEST of 2008, be the WORST of 2009!

Secondly, let me apologize…. This is a new theme, which I am still working on. I KNOW that in Internet Explorer the search bar pops down onto the title of the 1st post. In FireFox, it works 100%! IE is every web developers WORST nightmare!

Right, best wishes out of the way, and apologies out of the way. Now time to get on with the actual post, and let you know what lies in store for Imnica in 2009.

FIRST, a question if I may…

How was YOUR 2008? Did you accomplish everything you set out to do? Did you deliver on all you promises?

Well, I’ll be honest… We did NOT deliver on all our promises, nor did we do everything we set out to do!

Time for some honesty here…

At the beginning of 2008, we published this post. We DID accomplish SOME of the things we promised on there. Well, only 2 to be exact!

So, why are we being so honest, and why did we not accomplish what we set out to in the begging of 2008?

Well, the honesty stems from the fact that we believe that honesty is the best, and ONLY way to not only keep customers, but, turn our customers not only in to raving fans, but, also into part of our extended family.

As for why we did not accomplish everything we set out to do in 2008, well, there’s a couple of reasons…

  1. We got sidetracked with other projects.
  2. We got complacent.
  3. We got lazy.
  4. Things started piling up, and then we started procrastinating.

How’s THAT for being 100% honest?!

2009 and beyond…

Well, this year IS different! We have ALREADY started making some MAJOR changes!

First and foremost is this new site!

So, why the change from Imnica to Imnica Marketing?

For those of you who knows the story behind Imnica, you will know that we have based our business model from the beginning on the Virgin business model.

Virgin is the MAIN brand, but, does not operate as a business per-se. All Virgin business is conducted as Virgin SOMETHING.

That is EXACTLY the business model which Imnica was going to follow from the start, but, again, we got lazy!

NOT ANYMORE!!!

This site/business, is step one!

Imnica Marketing will focus on Internet Marketing.

We already have Imnica Pay ready as well. There are already a couple more in the works.

The main Imnica site is still there, although all blog posts now re-direct here. We will shortly make it just an umbrella site, pointing to all the Imnica businesses.

SO, what are our plans then, OTHER than setting up new businesses?

Well, some the same as last year, others, not so much….

Lets take a look:

  • Totally revamp our newsletter. It’s tired, it’s infrequent, and we broadcast WAY to much promotional only messages! The newsletter itself is going through a bit of a re-design, and we will HOPEFULLY send out the 1st new version next week. The newsletter has also been quite infrequent of late. This is a no-brainer. Going forward, expect it once a week! We still have a couple of promotional messages in the queue which needs to go out, but, after that, we plan to keep them to a minimum, and do most of the promotional stuff inside the actual newsletter.
  • This next point is really part of the newsletter one above, but, we thought it needs it’s own bullet. We will give away something free with EVERY newsletter! This might be as simple as a link to a free resource, or it might be a complete product! Most of the time, something in between.
  • We will do our UTMOST to post to the blog EVERY day!
  • We will start doing some SERIOUS video, and pushing it out to all video sharing sites.
  • We will SERIOUSLY ramp up our support. We really feel we let a LOT of people down in this area.
  • We’re still mapping out the services side of things, and will keep you posted as to how that develops.
  • Same goes for the software side of things.
  • PLR Master Class 2 is in the planning stages now. We’re not 100% sure when it’s coming out, but, it WILL be in the 1st half of the year. Everyone that owns V1 of PLR Master Class, will get a MAJOR discount, and, MIGHT even get V2 free when it becomes available.

Right, I think I have bored you long enough with this post now.

Watch out tomorrow for a post on setting goals, and KEEPING to it! ;-)

Now, tell us where you fell short in 2008, and what YOUR plans are for 2009?

  1. Without sounding like a know-it-all, I thought you were changing the blog, as I actually visited the ‘old’ one yesterday and wes redirected here to the new one!

A nice move even if I do say so myself, and I’m definately looking forward to popping back a couple of times each week to see what you’ve been upto. But more importantly, checking out the posts to see what I can take notes on.

Being someone who uses IE7, I can see what you mean about the theme being a little incompatible for this web browser.I’m sure it won’t take you long to sort the little problems out though.

So tomorrow it is then, see you then! :D

    Thanks
    Mark

    • Richelo Killian says:

      Hey Mark,

Yeah, thought it best to redirect everything here from the old one, as some of the old posts still gets tons of traffic from the SE’s. So, I just re-direct all the posts as a 301 redirect, which tells the SE’s it has permanently moved.

Man, I tell you, I HATE IE! Everything on this site is 100% standards compliant, but, IE, being IE, and being NON standard, breaks a couple of things. I’ll work on it tomorrow, and see if I can get it sorted.

2009 is going to ROCK for both Imnica, and our “family”!

      Cheers

      Richelo

      • Glad you got the design sorted out, it looks so much better on my eye! – And as you said about the 301 redirects, that’s the best way to do things. Let Google and that update things, but also if you have any backlinks, and someone clicks on that link too, they will be sent to the right place. :D

I look forward on seeing what you come out with in 2009, and how you build the Imnica brand. Of which I really like the name, and it’d be nice if I could brand myself somehow!

        Talk later.

        Thanks
        Mark

  1. Do something nice for someone else…

Many of us will have seen, read or heard about this principle before. It has been called:

    pay it forward
    a random act of kindness
    blessing others

Whatever our level of faith, doing something nice for someone else will often elevate our sense of peace…
