Scratch my back, and I’ll scratch yours.

Sunday, April 13th, 2008

I have a very wide circle of Internet Marketing acquaintances, ranging from complete newbie’s, to mega 8 figure successful people.

I have worked with all of them before in some capacity or another.

Whenever they ask me to promote any of their products, I do so without asking any questions. I don’t care what the commissions are, as long as the product is good, AND, as long as there is the common understanding of reciprocity.

I will promote your stuff any time, but, you have to do the same for me in the future. This is kind of this unwritten rule.

Right?

WRONG!!!

Most of these marketers will happily promote your stuff when they have a small list, and not so big a name online yet. As soon as they have 1 very successful launch, they become harder to convince to promote for you, BUT, they still have no problem coming and asking you to promote their stuff!

Now, as they become even more well known and successful online, you can’t even get hold of them! They don’t answer your instant chats, nor your emails! They STILL have no problem emailing you to promote for them when they have something new coming out.

Once or twice when they do actually respond, they always have SOME excuse NOT to promote your product. It’s too expensive, it’s not right for my list, the commissions are too low, etc, etc, etc.

Am I the only one experiencing this, and having a problem with this?

What does 2008 hold in store for Imnica, and you?

Wednesday, January 2nd, 2008

Firstly, I would like to take this opportunity to wish you and your family, a happy New Year. May your best of 2007, be your worst of 2008!

Secondly, I would like to tell you that we here at Imnica, do NOT make New Year’s resolutions! We rather set specific goals, and then we build plans to achieve those goals.

SO, what are our goals for 2008?

  • Do session 2 of our very popular coaching, "$3K Every 2 weeks, using PLR", in early March. http://www.imnicamarketing.com/3k.html
  • Give away TONS more FREE stuff!
  • Build LOTS more software which will empower you and your business.
  • Build a much closer relationship with our customers.
  • Do lots more video, much of it free.
  • Grow our business, not only in revenue, but, in people, both as customers, as well as staff.
  • Grow the services side of our business.

Does not look like a lot on the surface, but, overall, there is more work than we could do in 2008! Adding more staff, should be our priority. ;-)

Branding Yourself for Online Marketing

Monday, December 17th, 2007

It is always about the branding

If you hope to have any success in business then you need to brand yourself. It does not matter whenever you are striving to be the best at Online Marketing or whether you are trying to make a living in landscape gardening. You need to brand yourself in the minds of people in order to be successful.

What is Branding?

Branding is getting people to remember you favorably. That implies you need to take care of 2 things with your own branding: getting people to remember you and making sure it is in a favorable way.

Using landscape gardening as an example, everything landscape gardeners do while They are working is branding themselves. They want to have signage on their truck so that people recognize who they are, but they also want to act the part of being a good landscape gardener the entire time they are working.

So if they hope to work for higher-classed clientele then they better drive a nice truck and have nice equipment to attend the lawns. They also better be conformable getting their hands dirty. They must complete a job when they state they will and they better do a outstanding job also.

All of these things brand themselves not only in the minds of the people they work for but also in the minds of all the neighbours who’ll tend to pay attention to what’s happening across the street
or next door.

Branding Yourself for Online Marketing

There are many ways that you brand yourself as an Online Marketer. Some of them are obvious and some are not so obvious.

The obvious branding methods include the banners that you use on your web site(s) and on your products. These banners and graphics should be attractive and the important information (a slogan, logo, etc.) should be easily readable. You should choose the colors very carefully and make sure you like everything before you launch it. You don’t want to change anything afterward because that would damage your branding efforts.

You may not realize that what’s inside all of your products is also branding you. Don’t forget that unhappy customers tell many people about bad products. And unhappy customers will also tell many people if they were treated poorly. So make sure you always treat your customers well too.

You also want to make sure you treat everyone with respect. This includes people you run across on forums and other places on the Web. Don’t be a jerk to anyone. Remember, how you act will become part of your brand whether you want it to or not.

Final Words about Branding

Remember that branding is how people think of you and how they remember you. For example, when you see the logo on the front of a Mercedes-Benz you don’t think of the actual company. You think of wealth and luxury.

So when people think of you and/or your company, they think of what you represent. Remember that. And also remember that everything you do is part of your own branding. You can work a lot of hours and spend a lot of money to develop a perfect brand and then destroy it all by the way you act.

Just think about a store that looks great with a beautiful exterior and a great sign that just draws you in. You walk in and there’s great music playing and a great scent in the air. You love the
place. Then a worker comes up to you and tells you you’re garbage. The place may have worked hard to brand itself but the attitude of the worker would quickly chase you away.

And so it is with you and your IM business. Everything you do and produce is part of your branding and will either make your brand stronger or weaker. Always remember that.
