Launch madness starts again

Thursday, January 15th, 2009

Don’t get me wrong here, I have no problem with big product launches which are promoted by every man and his dog.

It’s the nature of our business and comes part and parcel with Internet Marketing, especially since Product Launch Formula by Jeff Walker hit the streets a couple of years ago.

Internet Marketing is not the only industry that does launches though.

Here are just some examples of other industries doing product launches:

  • Movies
  • Cars
  • Food
  • Computer hardware and software

So, why then do I start off this post, sounding like I am about to complain about product launches?

Let me kind of answer you by asking a question…

Of all the launches in Internet Marketing you have seen since you have been involved in IM, how many of those products are still actively marketed and sold? How many are still being discussed even a couple of weeks after the launch?

5 Ways To Reuse PLR

Sunday, July 6th, 2008

There is a glut of PLR being sold online. Quality varies greatly between titles, but it is possible to make a profit with just about any that you buy. Let’s take a look at a few ideas to help you maximize your profit potential.

Buy PLR products with the appropriate license. Be sure you have the rights to edit any PLR you purchase. This will make it possible to turn a bad product into a good one. While PLR has a technical definition, there are different interpretations – so you have to take the additional step of making sure you can use the PLR as you’d like.

As just mentioned you have to be able to edit your PLR. This allows you to create new and better products from any PLR you may buy (good or bad). You will pull way ahead of your competition when you do this effectively.

Here are a few basic ways you can turn PLR into new products.

1. Write articles using PLR for source material. You can take this one step further by promoting the version of the source PLR in the articles. Strike a balance between informing and creating the need for more for best results.

2. Create an autoresponder series. It is fairly easy to do this if you buy PLR titles with numbers in them. Like, “59 Ways To Ride A Horse”. It’s a no-brainer to derive 59 messages from that. There’s also a chance that some of the tips can be broken down into more than one message. Either way, you have good fodder for a series of messages you can send to people.

3. Give away specials reports (a few pages long) derived from PLR products to build a list. You can then turn around and sell full versions of the PLR you used to create the reports.

4. Re-write the PLR to create new eBooks that you can sell. Give it a new title and a slap on a different cover, too. You don’t have to always do a lot of re-writing. The two things you’ll want to do are add a new introduction and incorporate any personal experiences that complement the source material.

5. Finding PLR that’s on the same topic as your blog or webpage. Then use the PLR as content. It is still a good idea to do some re-writing to avoid the possibility of being penalized by the search engines for duplicate content. This technique is especially if you are have multiple websites and blogs.

There ways you can use PLR products is nearly endless. You can use the same source PLR to any number of the above items. Taking a few simple steps when buying PLR products will set you up for big profits. Not just because you know what to look for, but how to use it once it’s yours. If you’re not using the PLR you buy to its fullest extent then you are throwing your money away.

SO, QUALITY Content DOES Make A Difference!

Monday, April 14th, 2008

Back in March, I wrote THIS article, complaining about the quality of my list, and how unresponsive they are to anything.

So, being the pull your finger and fix it type of guy, I went on a mission to build, not only a quality site, but, a QUALITY news letter.

I sent an email to my whole list, apologizing for me bombarding them with offers, and not living up to my promise to send them a real newsletter with quality content. I asked them to sign up to the newsletter on this site, which would automatically unsubscribe them from all the other lists that they are on.

I was actually quite surprised at the number of people who did signup to the newsletter list!

So, now that we have started putting out this newsletter, how has the response been?

Let me 1st give some more details. The newsletter is full of quality content, as well as other bits and pieces, including promotions for affiliate products as well as my own. Content is still around 80% +. You can see for yourself in the newsletter archive on the menu at the top.

The newsletter list gets the newsletter only, unless there is some time constraint on a promotion, and I truly believe it is worth risking those valuable subscribers, to let them know about it.

The other lists, all still get all kinds of promotions, but, they also get the newsletter.

Open rate of the newsletter across ALL the lists is at a staggering 70%!!! Clicks inside the newsletter, also across ALL lists, are at a mind blowing 85%!!!

Now, I must add here that I DO provide a lot of free resources in the newsletter, which people click on, but, the promotions does get a fair share of around 20% of all clicks!

Not bad at all for providing quality content, which I write myself, from the heart, and does not take me more than around 45 minutes total to put out the newsletter.

Are the clicks on the promotions converting? YOU BET THEY ARE!

Now, you go and write some quality content for YOUR list, and let me know the change you experience from it!
