Learn To Earn Online

Tuesday, June 24th, 2008

If you have taken the leap to start your own online business. Then you probably know that it’s a learning process just like everything else. Learning to make money online takes education and lots of practice. Think about it, if you are looking to start your own business offline, there are plenty of accredited schools you can attend; but, trying to find the online equivalent is virtually impossible. That’s not to say you can’t find good places to learn.

In fact, when learning how to make money online you can search the Internet day and night for useful information. You will definitely learn one thing very quickly: the most difficult thing about using the Internet for research, especially if you don’t have guidance, is information overload. Once you’ve found a method that suits you, stick to it as long as it keeps working for you. Making money on the Internet is all about duplication and consistency.

Anyone who can read, write, and has Internet connectivity can start an online business. Obviously, a computer helps. If this is your path, the first thing you will need to do is find the right source that will give you knowledge you need which can be done through a number of ways.

One method is to seek guidance and direction from a coach or mentor to help you establish a solid plan. Working with a coach one-on-one is the best way to eliminate information overload, because they will tell which steps and actions you need to take to build your business. A coach will cost you anywhere from approximately $30 per session to $100’s of dollars per session.

Frequenting forums is a way to learn from multiple people in the Internet business. Apart from experience, most of my knowledge has come from these types of forums. A simple Google search for “marketing forum” or “Internet forum” will give you many to choose from.

You may also choose to sign up for e-courses. These will give you regular lessons and assignments to follow, as well as measurable goals to achieve. Most successful e-courses set measurable monetary goals, and show you how to achieve them by the end of the course. Note: Please remember that even the best e-course will do nothing for you if you don’t take action on its lessons.

Lastly, search for a seminar or Internet marketing group in your area. If money is an issue as seminars can be costly, offer to be a volunteer. Most likely you will get more value out of the event because you will have direct contact with people who actually know the seminar leader.  Networking seminars is also a great way to get good connections with other people who are seasoned in the Internet marketing game.

Don’t believe all the get rich quick schemes you see. This is a real business that will take time to perfect. You can be sure that after you get over your learning curve and start to build momentum, the money you make online will be most rewarding.

Scratch my back, and I’ll scratch yours.

I have a very wide circle of Internet Marketing acquaintances, ranging from complete newbie’s, to mega 8 figure successful people.

I have worked with all of them before in some capacity or another.

Whenever they ask me to promote any of their products, I do so without asking any questions. I don’t care what the commissions are, as long as the product is good, AND, as long as there is the common understanding of reciprocity.

I will promote your stuff any time, but, you have to do the same for me in the future. This is kind of this unwritten rule.

Right?

WRONG!!!

Most of these marketers will happily promote your stuff when they have a small list, and not so big a name online yet. As soon as they have 1 very successful launch, they become harder to convince to promote for you, BUT, they still have no problem coming and asking you to promote their stuff!

Now, as they become even more well known and successful online, you can’t even get hold of them! They don’t answer your instant chats, nor your emails! They STILL have no problem emailing you to promote for them when they have something new coming out.

Once or twice when they do actually respond, they always have SOME excuse NOT to promote your product. It’s too expensive, it’s not right for my list, the commissions are too low, etc, etc, etc.

Am I the only one experiencing this, and having a problem with this?

My Step By Step To $3K Every 2 Weeks Using PLR

Tuesday, March 25th, 2008

My strategy I am about to share, is not fool proof, and is not guaranteed to work in any way. I do it, and it works GREAT for me. I make a ton of cash from it, and hopefully you will too!
So, here goes.

  1. I sift through all the tons of offers coming in on WSO (Warrior Special Offer Forum). I look for PLR products that include a sales page. I take my time to read every offer carefully, and also read the sales page in detail.
  2. I pick and buy a product, or sometimes, multiple products.
  3. I grab a domain name that works for the main product I intend selling.
  4. I FIRST edit the sales page. I change names, graphics, grammar, spelling, add some more of my own copy, and add some bonuses.
  5. I create the one time offer, which in most cases is MORE PLR material.
  6. Now I edit the actual PLR material. I take my time, and read every single word. Again replacing names, links, emails, etc, Pay special attention to headers and footers in documents. I change the properties of the document to indicate I am the author, etc. VERY important! I change the name of the product! SO many people don’t even bother to do this!
  7. I create, or have created graphics for all the products, as well as the site.
  8. I upload everything to the site, setup payment and download, etc.
  9. I setup an Autoresponder, and some messages.
  10. I get a friend to do a test buy of both the main product, as well as the OTO. I make sure payment works, user gets added to the AR, AND, that they can download everything they paid for.
  11. I mail my small, but very targeted list, and offer them the product, AT A DISCOUNT! Not much, normally around 10% to 20%. I do this to get testimonials, and to get conversion rates.
  12. I take the data I now have on conversion rates, and approach other marketers to see if they will promote the product to their list.
  13. I start posting on relevant forums, with quality content, with a link to the product in my sig file.
  14. I write articles and submit to article sites. Again, author bio box has link back.
  15. I search for relevant blogs, and post quality comments on posts, with a link to my site.
  16. I take 2 days off, and start the whole process over again!

This is NOT only for PLR books, but, ANYTHING PLR, including software and videos!

Make it worth your jv’s while! Even if you give them 100% comms, you still get all the buyers on YOUR list, which means you can then promote the next product to YOUR list direct! BUT, if you have a proper OTO, you can make a fair bit on the upsell yourself.

For most products that I do which is below $70, I give the big JV’s 100% on the front end, and even give them 50% to 70% on the OTO. This makes it worth their while to promote, and I get BUYERS on MY list!

Getting these JV’s to promote in the 1st place is not always the easiest thing. Main thing to do… Go to offline events. Attend the conferences. When you approach the big names, don’t do what everyone else does! DON’T walk up to them, and start selling your product! Talk to them 1st, in general. Get to know them, talk about NON IM stuff! Ask if you can be THEIR affiliate! Do stuff for them FIRST! Build a relationship. This takes a couple of months. When you have built a good relationship, THEN ask politely if they would be interested in promoting your latest product, and make sure to give them a free copy to review! DO not get upset if they say no! Accept it, and continue to build the relationship!

All this time, you can still sell your products to your own list, through PPC, through ezine advertising, through smaller affiliates, etc!

Remember, there is no such thing as overnight success! It takes time, and it takes a LOT of work, but, just keep it going, and you WILL be successfull!

It is a fair amount of work, but, think about it this way. I put in around a week’s worth of work, and average around $3K for that work. How many people earn $12k a month in their day job? Also remember, sales don’t stop on those site, I just stop working on them!

I hope this gives someone the kick up the backside to go make some money!

Due to popular demand, this information is now available in a 3 month long coaching program. We are getting ready to start the second round of the coaching, and you can get it now for peanuts here: http://www.imnicamarketing.com/s/3k2w/
